All users access all files

I have the Premium and Groups addons. What settings do I need to use for all of my users to be able to see /edit/delete/add all files by default. Right now, I can set up folders that are global and all users can see, but I would like to do that without having to manually adjust user permissions each time I add new users and for it to include the main Home/root folder too.

Hey Netzzjd

The user pemissions never include the main root folder, permissions are folder based.

If you want to control read/write permission over folders you can use this  https://smartypantsplugins.com/downloads/wordpress-files-manager-buddypress-groups/

Again this does not include the root directory

What about not having to manually update permissions or add new users each time to all folders? Seems if a user creates a new folder, then an Admin then has to go in and manually add all other users to get full permissions to that new folder, correct?

Trying to use this as an intranet type of media library system with the public frontend. So I need all users to see and edit/add/delete all files and folders at will without having any manual actions from an Admin.

I see Groups and Share Spaces both seem to hint at this being capable. And the Groups addon says I can make entire WP Roles like ‘Subscriber’ all have the same permissions by default, but not seeing those options or how to do that.

You could set a base folder as the starting folder, that way you could control that and other folders
